Policies
Listed below are some of the most commonly asked office policies. These policies help us to ensure that we provide quality care to all our patients.
Scheduling an Appointment
When scheduling an appointment, please describe your needs to our staff so that we may set aside adequate time for you and your doctor. We will make every effort to see our patients for the scheduled time as your time is very important to us. However, we may fall behind schedule or be called out of the office to assist with deliveries or emergencies. Our staff will work to contact you by telephone do that you may choose to keep your appointment or reschedule.
Canceling an Appointment
If you are unable to keep an appointment please notify the office with at least 24 hours notice. There will be a $25 fee for any cancellations within 24 hours of an appointment. Also, if you are unable to make it to your appointment on time please call to let us know. If you arrive too late, you may need to reschedule. Additionally, no-shows or missing your appointment entirely will also result in a $25 charge.
After Hours Care
Outside of office hours a doctor is on-call for emergencies. If you have an emergency call 478-783-4929 and you will be able to page the on call physician. Authorization for prescription refills will only be given during regular office hours. If immediate care is required, it is encouraged that you go to the Emergency Room or Labor and Delivery for an immediate evaluation.
Confidentiality
Your medical information is strictly confidential. We will not release your information to anyone without your written consent. However, a family member may accompany you to your appointments if you desire. If you would like a copy of your records sent to another physician we will require written authorization from you.
Prescriptions and Refills
We appreciate waiting for new prescriptions and refills until your appointment whenever possible. Please keep in mind that is possible that your pharmacy may not routinely carry every prescription drug. Note that prescription refills will not be called into pharmacies after hours.
